1969 Camouflage VW Beetle (continued) The layers are coming together and now the brown is going on. I did not put on as much brown since I favor olive green more than any other color. The final color black is more of a dusting here and there. I use more brown and blacks on the bumpers and interior. Still using only rustoleum rattle can camo paint for this project.
The bumpers are the original rusty and crusty, bent and mangled chrome bumpers that came on this car. I took an angle grinder and paddle disk to stripped them. Then primed and painted them. They hold paint very well. I may end up using Plasti-kote for the trim and handles, in flat black.
